African international associations are facing a rapidly changing world with technological advancements, shifting demographics, and evolving global trends. To remain relevant and meet the needs of their members, international associations must adapt and evolve. The Masterclass consists of four sessions, each focusing on a crucial aspect of future-proofing international associations. The sessions cover emerging business models, digital credentialing, knowledge dissemination, and eAssessment. Each of these modules is highly relevant for the African audience, as explained below:

1. Emerging Business Models: This module is crucial for African international associations to remain relevant and sustainable in today’s highly competitive business environment. African international associations can learn from the University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and the Stiftung Entrepreneurship, who have extensive experience in identifying and evaluating new business models and developing plans for implementing them. This knowledge can help African international associations to build resilience and adapt to changing demands.

2. Digital Credentialing: This module is essential for African international associations to stay ahead of the curve in the digital age. African international associations can learn from LinkedIn and the International Council on Badges and Credentials e.V., who share their expertise in digital credentialing with international associations attending the Masterclass. This knowledge can help African international associations to develop a digital credentialing strategy and enhance their value proposition on social media platforms.

3. Knowledge Dissemination: This module is crucial for African international associations to provide value to their members by sharing knowledge and expertise. African international associations can learn from common sense eLearning Consultants and the World Steel Association, who specialize in developing eLearning content and strategies for organizations to disseminate knowledge to their members. This knowledge can help African international associations to translate knowledge into learning content, define standards for member-generated content creation and association-wide taxonomies, and develop a plan for disseminating knowledge to members of an international association.

4. eAssessment: This module is crucial for African international associations to ensure that their members have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in today’s rapidly changing world. African international associations can learn from Navigatr and the International e-Assessment Association, who share their expertise in developing and awarding digital credentials, ensuring quality and consistency in assessment practices, and developing standards for eAssessment. This knowledge can help African international associations to ensure that their assessment practices are of high quality and consistent across different contexts.
