The eLearning Africa Photo Competition is back and has got off to a flying start. eLearning and photography enthusiasts from across Africa and the rest of the world have been sharing their view of ICTs in Africa. The closing date for submissions is April 16th, 2012, and participation is free.
This competition is organised by eLearning Africa, the largest and most comprehensive capacity development event for ICT-enhanced education and training in Africa. Now in its seventh year, the eLearning Africa conference will be taking place from May 23rd – 25th, 2012, in Cotonou, Benin, where a selection of the submitted photos will feature in an exhibition.
Under the theme of “The African Century: ICTs Inspiring Innovation”, budding photographers are encouraged to send in their photos depicting how ICTs are enhancing the way individuals and communities in Africa live, learn, cooperate and connect, accompanied by a brief description outlining the inspiration behind their idea. Contributions from all sectors and walks of life are welcome.
All eligible photos submitted to the competition can be viewed and voted on the eLearning Africa website. The winners will be picked by an expert panel of judges, and prizes include a digital camera, a camcorder and a smartphone. Full details are available here.
